How to choose test data
1. Match the workflow
Viewer QA needs many modalities and edge cases. AI training needs labeled cohorts, licensing clarity, and reproducible splits.
2. Validate metadata
Check spacing, orientation, series grouping, transfer syntax, anonymization, and required tags before building logic around a dataset.
3. Separate demo from production
Sample data is useful for demos and tests, but production medical workflows need clinical validation and governance.
